Friends International English Conversation Group

We are looking for native English speakers to join our meetings every Tuesday evening at 19:30 in Berlin who would like to make friends in an international atmosphere. There is no agenda and no admission fee. The only objective is to meet and have a good time. German members can give information about Berlin, the past and present and every day life.

So why don´t you drop in next Tuesday at Kori&Fay, 28, Rudi-Dutschke-Str. just across U-Bahn station Kochstr. and side-to-side of Checkpoint Charlie Museum. We will give you a warm welcome.

Now that we have a new location at Thai Sushi at Checkpoint Charlie, we are able to accommodate more Friends on Tuesday evenings. Last meeting, we had 23 Friends from Sweden, the USA, Spain, the Ukraine, and Germany as well. It was very lively, with people talking and joking, getting to know each other and making friends. So let´s go on like that, having a good time.

Things like that may happen: The landlord family is giving up business and the owner takes over himself. “If you don´t want to have a meal, sit in the back”, 15 members squeezed at a table too small for feeling ok. One hour waiting for a pizza you have ordered. No taking orders for drinks.

We have decided that this is an atmosphere we are not willing to tolerate!

Sorry, dear landlord, but you have just lost 15 to 20 guests every Tuesday, and some turnover which you obviously can do without and are not worth.

Our principles are no membership fees, sitting and talking together, paying for own drinks and meals. We will not help making a landlord rich, but we are willing to spend some money. Landlords who think of making more money with us than casual guests won´t be supported by us.

So now, we have found a landlord who is happy to welcome us on Tuesdays. From next Tuiesday on, we meet at

Taisu Restaurant

Rudi-Dutschke-Str. 28

10969 Berlin-Kreuzberg.

This location is situated conveniently at Kochstr. U-Bahn-station, just around the corner of Checkpoint Charlie, side-to-side of the world famous Checkpoint Charlie Museum. You can´t miss it.

So come on, have a look and see what the new location is like.

See you all on Tuesday 10th Sept.
